Digital Badging and Digital Certificate Program

IT professionals obtaining an Arcitura accreditation receive a digital certificate and a corresponding Acclaim/Credly digital certification badge. The digital certificate is e-mailed to you automatically upon obtaining a certification. An e-mail with instructions on how to claim your digital badge is issued separately. There is no cost to you for this service. Registered participants of public or private Arcitura training workshops delivered virtually or on-site can also receive a digital certificate of completion and a corresponding Acclaim/Credly digital training badge.

Arcitura Digital Badges

Digital badges are intelligent certification logos that provide an effective means of communicating and promoting your accreditations via digital and online mediums. Each digital badge contains pre-validated metadata that can be used to verify your certification status. Here are examples of Arcitura digital badges:

Arcitura has partnered with Acclaim/Credly to provide a platform whereby you can:

• use digital badges to promote your skills and certifications via social media
• include digital badges in your e-mail signatures
• add digital badges to your resumes and biographies
• enable potential employers and other parties to verify your skills and certification status online and in realtime

If you don’t have one already, you will be required to create an account with Acclaim/Credly to manage your digital badge settings, including privacy settings that you can control to determine whether your badges are made public or kept private. Arcitura digital badges are fully compliant with the Open Badge Standards established by IMS Global. This enables you to export your digital badges into other badge-storing platforms.

What is a digital badge?

A digital badge is a digital image that contains verified metadata that describes your qualifications and the process required to earn them. You can display a digital badge to promote your accreditation and you can allow others to use it to verify your accreditation online.

How will I know when I have earned a digital badge from Arcitura?

You will receive an email notification from Acclaim with instructions for claiming your badge. The email will indicate that the digital badge was issued by Arcitura.   

Do I need to pay a fee to get or use my digital badge?

No, digital badges are provided by Arcitura Education to certificate holders at no cost.

I attained my Arcitura certificate several years ago. Can I still receive a digital badge from Acclaim?

Yes, you are very likely eligible to receive a digital badge. Follow these instructions to request your digital badge:

1. Send an e-mail to info@arcitura.com to issue the request.
2. Include your full name and the certification for which you would like to request a digital badge.
3. If you have multiple certifications, list them all to request all corresponding digital badges.
4. If you can, also include your AITCP ID as it will help expedite your request.

How can I use my digital badge?

Digital badges are commonly used to promote your accreditation achievements via social media platforms or other digital mediums. You can also display your badges in your email footer.

You can allow others to verify your certification or training status online and in real-time using your digital badge. The digital badges provided by Arcitura are issued through the Acclaim platform and are compliant with the open badge standard.

What if I don’t want to make my digital badge publicly accessible?

Using your Acclaim account you can configure privacy settings for your digital badges to control whether they are public.

I’ve never had an Acclaim digital badge before. Do I need to create an Acclaim account?

Yes, you will need to create an account on the Acclaim website. The email you receive will direct you to where you need to begin. Your Acclaim account will act as a portfolio of digital badges you receive from Arcitura and other IT organizations, such as IBM, Microsoft, Oracle, etc.

Why is the Credly logo always next to the Acclaim logo?

Credly is the company that acquired Acclaim. Both Credly and Acclaim specialize in digital badging.

Can I also promote my accreditation using my digital certificate?

Yes, you can display your digital certificate online, via social media platforms and on your resume or biography.

How are honors designations shown on digital accreditations?

If you achieved a certification with honors, your digital accreditation certificate will show an honors designation along with a gold seal. Digital badges do not distinguish between regular and honors designations.

 Are printed certificates available?

You are encouraged to print your digital certificate. If you would like to receive an official printed certificate from Arcitura, it can be issued for a fee plus the shipping cost.
